Duplex outlet wiring diagram. A circuit like this can. Any break or malfunction in one outlet will cause all the other outlets to fail. This wiring is commonly used in a 20 amp kitchen circuit where two appliance feeds are needed such as for a refrigerator and a microwave in the same location.
